Second Formal Analysis (6-8 Pages)
By this point in the semester, in addition to Narrative, you will have been exposed to many other concepts in cinema. Choose ONE Non-Narrative primary aspect of Cinema from our lectures (Performance, Visual Design, Composition, Editing, or Sound), and perform a Formal Analysis of another film from the list (OR a film NOT on the list that I have approved). As with the first assignment, only ONE student will be permitted to write on any given film, so sign up in advance. When you sign up, make sure to tell me BOTH the name of the film and the Lecture Concept you’ll use to study it.
In this assignment, the fundamental question to answer is: How does the formal aspect you’re studying construct meaning in the film you’ve selected? As with the first assignment, use your lecture notes and the readings to help you focus the paper.
So: If you’re writing on Performance, interpret the Persona of the actor you’re studying, as well as the specific Performance and Character in the film, plus Styles of Acting, Types of Performance, etc. If Visual Design, consider Mise-en-Scene and Objective Correlative (as well as Color, Lighting, Costume, Props, Sets, etc).  If Composition, consider Framing, Staging and Photographing; If Editing, consider Scene Building, Cross-Cutting and Montage; If Sound, consider Music, Voice, Sound Effects and Silence.

XYZ Company is aware that both macroeconomics and microeconomics play a general role in its organization’s success. Top-level management has asked you to conduct research, and then write a report that specifically identifies the role it should play in its overall success. Management has asked for information on the following as it relates to the organization:

elasticity,

consumer choice,

productions and costs,

supply and demand,

aggregate supply and aggregate demand, and

macroeconomic measurements.

Length: 3-5 pages, not including title page and references

References: Please use the concepts from the Peregrine Modules as well as two additional scholarly sources for support throughout your proposal. Additional reliable sources may also be used.

Your presentation should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented in the course and provide new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your response should reflect scholarly writing and current APA standards. Be sure to adhere to Northcentral University’s Academic Integrity Policy.

Your final paper in this class is a 2500-3000-word exploration of a complex research question for a specific audience of your choice. This is the standard length of a main feature article in a magazine like Time. Your research will be informed by a minimum of ten sources (including scholarly sources, field research, and a book-length work) and your paper must include at least one image (such as a graph, a drawing, a photograph, or a table). This image must be properly sourced and cited.
You can choose to make this paper personal and creative, or formal and academic. If personal, you are a character in your paper, and you need to show how you change from the opening paragraph to the final paragraph. If formal, you need to either argue a clear thesis (include the thesis at the end of the introduction) or test a hypothesis (again, include at the end of the introduction). In either case, you need to be investigating a question – not just listing facts on a topic.
This piece should include integrate and cite all of your sources, analyzing the sources’ arguments and credibility as necessary.
In the process of writing this paper, you’ll learn how writing can mirror the thinking process, and you’ll also learn how to research in a number of different media. And this paper does require empirical research–so you’ll have to do some work away from your computer.
Hints:
Look at your question from all sides.
It’s okay to argue for a particular conclusion, but the focus of your paper is RESEARCH: any argument you make must be solidly grounded in evidence.
Don’t be afraid of informal research avenues for this paper, such as interviews with friends or family. Anecdotal research can have a place in developing your ideas, but back it up with other sources as well. And conduct the research formally: think of goals and questions beforehand.
You must:
Have at least 10 sources cited within the text (and, therefore, listed on the Works Cited page).
Include at least one carefully sourced and cited image that is integrated into the message of the paper. You are encouraged to include an original image; if you did not create the image, you must cite it as you would cite any other source. The image must be numbered (ex., Table 1), include a caption, and be referred to in the text (“As can be seen in Figure 1…”)
Use at least 4 separate forms of information in this essay. These sources must represent the variety of available options—scholarly journals, internet sites, books, popular news magazines, government documents, radio and/or television, personal surveys or interviews, etc…
Four of those sources MUST BE peer-reviewed scholarly sources (pay careful attention to what counts as “scholarly” and what doesn’t).
At least one source must be empirical research: data collection, a site visit, an interview, or a survey.
At least one source must be a book.
As always, your essay should meet all criteria for standard formal English use and show evidence of thoughtful proofreading and editing.
Purpose: You must develop your purpose based on your topic, your audience, and what you want to communicate to your audience.
Audience: Choose an audience.
Comp outcomes addressed: research, purpose, analysis, critical reading, revision, multimodal communication.

Identify two intended outcomes of the therapy services offered at the People First organization. Then, describe an evidence-based instrument you could use to measure these outcomes. How would you use the tool to determine the extent to which the services are effective? What would you do if you learned the services were not as effective as hoped? How would the results influence your work as a leader in the organization?q

Read the repose below and add on to it Describing another difference between mitosis and meiosis.
<
<
There are many differences between mitosis and meiosis. One may be that mitosis occurs in all organisms except viruses and meiosis occurs in only plants, animals and fungi. The number one difference though, is that mitosis is a cell division that ends up with 2 daughter cells that have the same number of chromosomes. Where meiosis is a reduction division, which means the chromosome number is halved in the daughter cells. This means that mitosis creates cells with 46 chromosomes and meiosis creates cells with 23 chromosomes.
<
<
This is very important because cells are the basic units of organisms. The reason for cell division is because the outside of the cell may not be able to to keep up within as the cell continues to grow. Mitosis has the role of maintaining cell growth and upkeep while meiosis is to reproduce. Typically mitosis happens with somatic cells or even body cells, where on the other hand, meiosis occurs within gamete or sex cells. Lastly, when meiosis breaks down it is divided into two sections. These sections are made up of what are called meiosis I and meiosis II. Meiosis I is then broken down into prophase I, metaphase I, anaphase I and telophase I. While meiosis II is broken down into prophase I, metaphase I, anaphase I, and telophase I. During each of these different phases, special roles take phase during each one helping the cells divide.
<
<
With all these differences being true, there are also quite a few similarities. As said before, mitosis occurs in all organisms which means that both mitosis and meiosis both occur in plants. Another similarity would be that they both start with a diploid parents cell. Lastly, they both produce new cells, while the cells undergo DNA replication.
